10 Men/Postcards

Some nice iconographic postcards of 10 men who represent iconic names within the Portuguese culture. These simple, but nice illustrations represent the work of Rafael Serra, a student and freelance designer based in Barcelos, Portugal.

Typo-artsy Website Headers

Just came across these 'typo-artsy' website headers created for Spoiled Milk's website, a studio based in Denmark. Isabelle Seiffert, a design student from Germany, together with Casper Hübertz are the designers behind these headers, scheduled to be launched on the website by the end of May. Looking forward to checking it out live.

Toykyo

Some graphic art, street art, and artsy-fartsy stuff from Toykyo, a collective of artists and designers who work in a variety of multidisciplinary projects. Apart from their Belgium studio they also have a store, which I'm sure is full of goodies.

Co Couture by Sort

Some lovely print and packaging work from Sort Design, a Belfast based studio founded in 2006. I love the simple and yet lovely print details in some of their work, such as the foil blocked chocolate bar packaging. I'm diggin' the use of the grid in their website layout too.

Babel Tales

A quite unique photo study called Babel Tales, captured by the camera lens of Peter Funch. He is a Danish photojournalist who is currently living in New York. In his photo series, Babel Tales, he documents the everyday people of New York out and about on their daily routines. People are normally captured in groupings of similarities, and through the lens Peter describes concepts such as 'memory lane', 'secure sanctuary', 'enforcing enforce', 'blood code' and ' latte revolution' among many others. Very interesting. Go to his website for more.

Independent Studio

Some nice work from designer Jack Daly, from Independent Studio. The force behind FormFiftyFive which has grown to be such an inspiration for designers world-wide, and one of my favorite blogs out there. Credits must also go to all of its contributors but since this is not about FFF, check out the work of Independent after the jump.

Typographical

Everyone loves 'cool' typography right? I do. Anthony Dart is a multi-disciplinary designer from Ontwerp.tv who has a nice collection of typographic explorations. I know I've seen similar styles out there, but this is still post worthy. Check it out.

CD Covers

Just wanted to share a couple of CD covers which I thought were pleasing to the eye. The first is designed by Edward Hann from Un.titled. Lovely use of yellow, and black while expanding the booklet into a small poster. The next is by Muggie Ramadani, who never seizes to impress, and photographed by Mikkel Bache. It's a little different than his normal identity & branding projects, but nevertheless, very nice indeed. I hope everyone appreciates their simplistic approach as much as I do...cheers.
